The Next Step

Step 1: Think back to a situation you felt pressured to do something. Where was that pressure actually coming from? Did you handle the situation in the right way? What could you have done differently?

Step 2: Can you remember a specific instance when you stood up for what you believe or supported a friend when they were getting pressured? What made you do this? What were you focusing on to get this surge of confidence? Write down 3 things you did that you could do again in a peer pressure situation.

Step 3: What is a current situation you are facing that requires a lot of confidence (like team try-outs, asking someone out on a date, giving a speech, etc.) How can you start to build confidence now so you’re prepared when you face this situation next?
